I think it's OK to use either gear.
I made up a chassis this weekend & used the 19T gear, but man there isn't much ground clearance!
On my Tomy track the gear would hit the rails if it slid enough.
I'm going to swap it for a 15T when I get a chance.

Another place to get Ultra G chassis is Mark Twain: https://www.hobby1.com/auto-world-thund ... assis.html
Sigh up for their emails, they have a lot of specials & get free shipping over 35 bucks too! :music-rockout:

So I should use the bigger of the two available rears tires.. I'll make a note!

Well now. After some careful measurements, I see that the 19 tooth gear is a no go. Back to the drawing board.

Ahhh, the what ifs! What if Pontiac ran the GTO before the introduction of the Firebird? What if the Studebaker Avanti ran in the Trans AM series? What if privateers raced a Grabber Maverick? All of these are possible for us!

Changed my crown gear from 19T to 15T - car is much faster, but I still had something hitting the rails on my Tomy track.
Come to find out it was the bottom of the hook end of the Wizzard pick up shoes. :o
It wouldn't touch everywhere, just in a couple of the corners - I bet the rails are a bit taller on those curves.
More testing this weekend...
