I made sure to put my AFX Racing Team license plate in the back window, just to make sure everyone knew I was crazy! LOL. Yeah, it was good times. The racing is intense. I was thinking about it and realized that it's addicting in that you may never rise above a certain placement (pick a number: 40, 30, 20, top 10, number 1, etc). But that's what makes it so interesting: you strive to do better and tell yourself "next time I will do better". The best part is that unlike any other form of racing (1:1 cars, horses, bicycles, etc) slot cars are incredibly inexpensive for the thrill you get going head to head against every driver in the Fray. And you do get to race absolutely everyone. Sure, a fray car may set you back $170+ for a top flight one...but that's it...and it's more than likely good for a few more years of racing with relatively inexpensive upkeep. Heck, I am still dreading buying new 18-inch tires for my Challenger. One of the main reasons I did not get 20-inch tires. Who wants to spend money buying replacements? Not me. So fray cars are incredibly inexpensive for the level of competition you get. Heck, I placed 2nd in two heats against one of the best teams at the Fray...nothing better than hearing the team communication while racing: "We've got 1st, 3rd, and 4th." "Who's got second?" as I quietly maintain my nerves to steal 5 points for a second place finish and keep them from dominating the podium for that heat. Then I snuck in a second 2nd place finish on them. It was awesome. And I still ranked only 52 out of 90 guys. Next year I will do better. I can't wait. My Challenger may even have the same tires on it. After all, I need to save money for a new fray car! LOL.
Cheers,
Mike

Sylvain, it's just a fairly Stock T-Jet chassis, albeit blueprinted, and using the best parts allowed by the rules. The axles are Wide and the rear tires are low profile Sili-Sponges, and front wheels are weighted and run O-Rings, but the width has to be able to pass through a Tech Block, and be No wider than 1-5/16" and the weight of the car has to be between 20.0 and 24.0 Grams. The armature must be an Original Aurora 2 lam 16ohm. The specs and rules can be found and read here >

Yup! Thanks for posting these shots. That car looks great. It's really amazing how these cars run on the big tracks. Time to start building for next year!
Cheers, Mike.
