Have a few projects going. I need some putty for the Tasnady coach, so I decided to start something different. I bought 3 Willys bodies for $7, so making mistakes won't break me. Many of the 1:1 Northeast modifieds of the 60's, had the rear sectioned this way, so I thought I'd give it a try on an HO Willys. I eventually want to make a modified to run in the "Coupes" class for HOCOC Slot Car Racing. My all time favorite car(s) were the 888 Czepiel's Specials, especially with the last two driven by Rene Charland. If you look at the real car, you'll see where the rear wheel wells are. The sectioned Willys should be there, once the wells are opened up and the rear deck is trimmed.....The front is going to be a whole other project. (Wow, these things are
It feels good to be working on slot cars again! It's all thanks to this site!....The last slot car I worked on as a teenager was a 1/24th scale "888", hand lettered by a sign painter (no making decals in the 60's), wish I still had it.
