I got it from a trade, it has an original lighted non magnatraction chassis and was working but in a multilevel layout it was not reaaly good... hum upgrade will be done

i took a Tomy bare chassis put some chrome wheels who look close to the orignal one and built it from spare parts i had

I like the re-livery!
I have painted up a number of these and we actually race them at the local track - LOT of fun!!!
Hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as we do ours!

Hi
just wondering, did you keep the original chassis? try one with a Tomy turbo chassis, it is not the same...

Sylvain,
The ones that we have been doing the relivery action on have all been the newer AutoWorld Racing Rig trucks. I have a couple of the originals like the one you rechassised though. All of the vintage ones I have use/have the MagnaTraction chassis under them verses the AF/X (non-MagnaTraction).

The AutoWorld Racing Rigs use an updated version of the MagnaTraction design that AutoWorld refers to as their XTraction Ultra-G Chassis.
It adds one additional button style magnet back by the rear axle and can be seen in the right side of the picture below:

The Ultra-G chassis is a direct fit for the older MagnaTraction applications and works well without having to do any modifications. :)

Hope that helps!

Oh - and if you want to check out just how entertaining the AutoWorld version can be (with a few simple mods) - you can check out the slow motion video I posted a while back: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8921

I did a posting showing how we mod them for racing here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9755

Enjoy!
