DeTomaso Mangusta, I have seen a few at auto shows, I did not know that some of them had been raced until recently. 401 were built, apparently they looked better than they drove.

Wasn't the Mangusta, the inspiration for the Ford (De Tomaso) Pantera ? Or at least somehow related ???

OK, large diameter wheels with super low profile tires lend to better handling, but...
NOT when the wheels are so large that the car sits like a 4x4 !! Really...
