Retiree Test and Tune

We are members of an HO racing group herein the Tri State Area of the Upper Ohio Valley . There are several of us retired and we take the opportunity to have impromptu tests and tunes and sometimes some informal races during the week .

Today we had a test and tune session at John Egan's track in Weirton , WVa. . Those attending were Stumpy Stone , Bob Young , John Egan and Tom DeLauder . Stumpy Stone gave a demo on "slot less racing" with a small portable track . I must say it was very interesting . John Egan presented his small bull ring oval mounted on a 2'' foam platform . It worked flawlessly . We all tested and tuned Stock and Fairground T-Jets on his road course and his oval .

We had all of this fun and food too . John served Pizza and soft drinks for lunch . Thank you John for hosting .

Our group consists of a core base of 10 racers and have 4 tracks as venues for our racing . They are Mr. 12 Tooth's : The Badlands in Pittsburgh , Pa , Jim's Buffington's Raceway in Monaca , Pa . , John Egan's : Riverview Raceway in Weirton , WVa. and Tom DeLauder's : Monkey Wrench Speedway in Wellsville , Ohio .

I Todd . Our next scheduled race will be at Jim Buffington's " Mega Track" in Monaca , Pa . on January 9th . If you plan to go you can follow me form my house . It's about 1/2 hour from my door .
