Racing fun at Jim Buffington's Center Super Speedway!!!

This last Saturday APalmer and myself were invited to Jim Buffington's home to run on his impressive Center Super Speedway track!
:banana-dance:
The "Super Speedway" reference definitely fits this TKO track - as the lanes are 92 feet long and mix in a wide variety of corner types and radii along with the elevation changes that make for some great racing fun!!!
Here are a couple shots of the track:

First class of the evening was Racing Rigs!
This was a first for this track - but I think based on the fun everyone had - it won't be the last!
Starting off the action was:
Bob Young in red with the blue cab over tanker
Jim Buffington in white with the yellow vintage AFX Ryder rig
Tom DeLauder in blue with Mountain Dew machine
John Egan in yellow with the Pepsi Co hauler

They were joined in rotation by:
Chris Ford and his chrome Shell Fuel hauler

Aronn Palmer's Holley / Hooker Headers machine

My white Shell tanker

Jeff Albitz's vintage AFX cab over hauler

To say that these rigs were entertaining - would be an understatement!
There was definitely a bit of a learning curve to figuring out the best way to get these machines around the track smoothly - with the tight inside corners of the yellow lane being a particularly cruel mistress - but everyone seemed to find their groove pretty quickly, making for some good racing!
