Those two TYCO cars look to be pretty clean, and are worth a few bucks, especially as a pair. Be careful with the R/C tire dressing on the plastic track. Some of them will have a chemical reaction and start making a mess in spots, and you definitely don't want it to get into the motor. A pair of slip on type silicone tires will last forever, and you'll have no worries about your track surface. Yeah, get some T-Jets... original Aurora ones if you can. If you decide to make a larger or multi lane HO circuit, I would save your original TYCO stuff and buy one of the new AFX sets. Even if you don't want the newer Mega-G+ cars (they do run VERY smooth), you can always sell them and recoup a large part of your investment. The AFX track system has the most options available for different track sections and accessories, a good switchable 8/12/22 volt power supply, and some nice 120 ohm controllers to tame those T-Jets when running on the full 22 volts.
Whatever you decide to do, welcome back to the HO racing world, and... be sure to have FUN! -- Ernie :>)
*** I see in the background you've still got the original Richard Petty Racing box from the set. Cool! -- E :>)
