With all the hype in my little world about a new track/and scale I have to start scratching some cars ya know. This AFX Mag Trac chassis upgrade was a must for my first racer. Added bronze bushings to the rear for a zero slop axle fit, removed the stock body mounts from the body, Added new mounts for a lower CG body fit. New rear axle, wheels, Super tires, Viper front axle set. Going to wind a special arm.."I'm gonna give you an engine low to the ground... extra low pick ups to cut the wind from underneath you. It'll give you 1 or 2 more AMPS I'm gonna give you a lead wire that'll hold an extra volt of juice. I'm gonna shave half an inch off you and shape you like a bullet. I'll get you primed, painted and weighed, and you'll be ready to go out on that racetrack. Hear me? You're gonna be perfect.

No the reamers does not come with, you would have to locate that separately.

No .059 is for magnet cars / T-Jets , AFX , Magnatraction all use .063

I actually used a larger axle than stock only because I already had it. So I used a larger set for this car only because I wanted to see how everything would work out. I had to re drill the rear wheels and crown gear to match. You may not have to go thru that if using the correct drill size for oem size wheels.

That certainly is one mean looking hot rod.

Yer killin' me Mark! I've been thinking for a while about getting rid of my 1/32 scale stuff and going back to my HO roots and you're not helping my decision. That Camaro looks pretty cool!

I`m not getting rid of all my 1/32, I still enjoy it just as much. I just moved my extra items that accumulated over the years. I had always planned on using my extras as kind of a savings account, which really worked out well. I sold most at a profit, while the buyers were still happy with the prices. That, and M/T Motors footed the complete purchase of the track, and all the cars and parts I've accumulated over the past year.
BTW the MAXTRAX arrived on Friday.. :D .

Was wondering if a new track was in the future.

I saw in the photo what looks like the original carbon black AFX Magna Traction motor brushes with the little alignment nub on them (I could be wrong, of course). FYI, you can use standard aftermarket double flat sided high quality pancake motor brushes like the ones from Wizzard, Slottech, ect., in the Magna Traction chassis. Never had a problem with them not working along with the motor brush springs from the factory. Then again, you may already know this, judging from the level of expertise you've applied assembling this baby, in which case perhaps other forum members may pick up on this bit of information. I've been using the Wizzard copper/carbon composite replacements in all my pancake motor chassis for years, regardless if they be original Aurora/AFX, Johnny Lightning/Auto World, Dash Motorsports, ect. No problems whether the cars were used for competition or just prolonged recreational running @ 18-20 volts. That car you're building looks to have all the right stuff, and I love the rear Oilite bushings - have FUN!
