For the upcoming HOCOC season there will be a new class for stock 1.7 inch AFX Mega G+ chassis with 3D printed SK and Whelen Modified bodies. Loaner cars will be available for racers that need one.

The intent with this class is to put a body on a stock rolling chassis and go. Only two modifications to the chassis are allowed. Viper Scale Racing pickup shoes can be used because the replacement AFX shoes can only be found in a tune-up kit and in order for the cars to run well on braided tracks two coils can be removed from the shoe springs.
Two versions of the bodies are available, the first can be ordered via an ebay site, those are made using a home style 3D printer and are very rough. The second source is Shapeways, those are much better, however in both cases the material resists sanding.
Here are the bodies for the loaner cars.
