Posted: Sun Dec 02, 2018 6:30 pmI feel a little guilty... Back when I did HO (before I got too old to see it), we all made that modification in various ways. Some guys soldered desoldering braid directly to the pickup shoes, some guys did what you did here (good job, by the way). I guess I should look in on HO now and then. Since I sold out everything HO, I have been a bit slack. Good to see others keep the scale alive and active!

Posted: Mon Dec 03, 2018 6:53 amI'm happy to see someone else make it work. The cars in the picture at the top of the HO page have this this setup, and it works very well. I think routed HO with copper tape is a lot simpler than figuring out a rail-and-lockstrip system.
