Hot Wheels Emergency Truck Conversion
Posted: Sun Mar 03, 2019 8:34 pmI picked this one up the other day. It is a plastic body Hot Wheels with a metal chassis. Perfect for converting over to a slot car. I fitted a 4 Gear chassis to it by adding a front screw post. In the rear I just made a holder out of some plastic to keep it from wiggling around and a very thin piece of two sided tape at the very rear of the chassis to firmly secure it.I cut out the interior and then just painted all the details on the body. I painted the roof lights red too.The rear wheel openings were opened up slightly to fit the tires. The front grille and bumper were cut off the chassis with the Dremel tool and hot glued it in place. It looks like a hot rod emergency vehicle!
