Puling Wheels

Other than the obvious, using a gear/wheel puller, what's the best way to pull re move the wheels on an AW and TJet chassis?

You can pry off the wheels using a tool with a thin blade, like an X-Acto knife. It is better to use two such tools to avoid damaging the wheels. If you expect to work on your cars a lot you should spring for a proper wheel puller.

A tack puller ... an upholstery tool.

For stubborn ancient plastic hubs that are impossibly stuck, pre-soak in warm water.

I always used a small flat tip screw driver to pry off wheels before getting a wheel puller.
