Race #6 from Hangtime's Switchback Speedway is in the books!
Yesterday was the first formal racing on his track and it proved to be a fun and smooth layout making for some VERY close racing!
The track is a 4x16 TKO layout with a a long front stretch mixed with a nice variety of corner types and radii making for a layout that is a LOT of fun to run on!
Qualifying was performed as a 1 minute run on each lane, with drivers staying with those respective lanes for both the qualifying and racing action. Handling the driving duties were:
Hangtime - Yellow Lane
Steve R - Blue Lane
Bernie W - White Lane
Reese W - Red Lane
(I handled marshal and computer duties)
Notes from Qualifying and Race results to follow!

Austin - both your cars took to the Switchback Speedway like they were made for it! Everyone commented on how well balanced and planted the Mustang felt - having just the right combination of power to grip to really carve up the technical sections of the track!

I'm curious about the wheel hop at speed in my 56 car. I don't think I'v ever seen those wheels become out of round.

Mike - the hop must have been minor and it may have been there at each track - but one of the drivers noted it as part of his comments so I noted it. I will take a look at it before the next race - but can say it had to be minor for your car to be in the thick of things mid-pack. :)

Austin - Mark had asked me to hang on to them until this week as he was on vacation and didn't want them sitting on the porch. I have been working 12+ all this week, so they will be going to the post office tomorrow.
