My newest track, excited and happy

I really loved the look of this track when I first saw it. An opportunity came up for me to acquire it and the rest is history.
(It's on FB too but I figure not everyone is on FB). Enjoy!
Oh, it's a rail track with a dead strip for timing. Built in 1993 on the west coast. Oh, the circle hole by the driver stations has been replaced with a new track call button.

Great looking track!
Ho I assume based off the AFX grand stand?
I run both scales also myself.
I love the old t-jets and afx and tyco pro cars.

Yes, HO...I simply do not have the space to recreate a 1/32 layout in my garage while still retaining "use" of my garage. I have been racing Fray cars so this track is a welcome addition for our group. I will be focusing on tjets since I sold off all of my AFX and Tyco cars last year. Still have my 1/32 cars so one day a track may be in my future.

WOW!
I'd love to let loose some of my Aurora T-Jets on that track! I especially like the idea of the "lap length equalizer" turn section.
The blue color on the infield section looks great. Very cool. Enjoy your new raceway! -- Ernie

Light blue is kind of an unusual color, but it really is bright and cheery. It looks like an ice racing track. ;)

I think I saw some film once about guys in Quebec tearing around on a large pond in what was left of Ford Cortinas, Consuls and Taunuses with some other hulks I didn't recognize. They looked like they were having a ball, . It was black and white and the contrast against the snow made it very hard to tell much of anything, but when they climbed out of those cars they were falling down laughing and flopping around like madmen- especially when they rolled one of those roly-poly old British sedans right off the pond and onto the snow bank. Made you want to get a hulk and join the fun as soon as you could get there.

so maybe I will track down four snowmobiles and make my ice racing track complete! That would be cool. Yeah, I like the track since the colors really do seem to match the 1950 house I live in. I thought it was built in 1963, not 1993, when I first saw it. It's great fun...I am working on matching a set of Road Race Replica Mustangs to make the track complete.

I've made some progress...and more since this picture was taken...removed the felt sharpie lane striping from 3 lanes (thankfully the white lane was painted very nicely). I had to use nail polish remover and two steel wool pads to do the job.

Here's the finished track with the lanes finally cleaned. OMG that took like 4 hours to get the horrible sharpie felt removed...

Nice Track :)

Your track looks awesome :handgestures-thumbup:
Looks like a fun course to race on, and it packs alot of action in a little space(4' x 8'), as my own two courses are also setup on 4' x 8' :)

It's an Atari Crystal Castles arcade game. It's also a heat blocker to my roll up garage door. Gotta keep the track safe you know.
