The HOCOC season opener will be run on Ed Bianchi's slider oval.

Yesterday we ran the first race of the HOCOC 2014-2015 season on Ed Bianchi's banked slider oval. The 1/43rd scale sprints are powered by HO can style motors and are still plenty fast enough at 9 volts.

The sprints were built by Ed Bianchi, I did not get a chance to examine them closely. I may have time to shoot a few pictures at our next race this Saturday. You might contact Ed directly, there is contact info in the flyer.

Here is a picture of the inside of one of the cars. A Lifelike T type can motor is used. Ed tells me that he is about to make a new batch of these cars to be priced at $95 each.

I like the sprinters but at $95 each , it's cost prohibitive to field 4 cars for my track .

That would be a problem, maybe you will hit the lottery! You might buy one car and try to make your own replicas. I am not certain where the bodies and wings come from. Ed may be coming to a race at my house later this month, I might remember to inquire at the time.
