Bolton Raceway Park 4 laner.
Finished up painting the scenery and adding the buildings prior to my surgery this week.
Looking forward to coming home afterwards and rehabbing with this.
4 lane Tomy on a 36" x 65" hollow core door cut down.
Tomy tri power packs for power.
Great fun!

You did an excellent job here. Refreshing to see a nice HO home track like this one.
There seems to be the HRW logo's missing on the wall (ahem) but other than that it looks great. :) (Just kidding)
I actually need to stop looking at it because it just makes me want to clean my old one up...and I don't need that!

Thanks guys for the well wishes on the surgery and kind comments on the track.
Very much appreciated!!!! :D
I go under the knife on Thursday so the day is almost near.
Harry, I'll definitely get some HRW signage up around the track shortly.
Can't leave my favorite slot site advertisement out!!!
This has been a fun little build I had been working on between projects on my 1/32 4 laner and scratch builds.
I like both scales what can I say.....
I thought I had better finish this up prior to my surgery so I can come home and enjoy it with my kids while rehabbing.
Really nothing to building this. Quite easy actually. Add a few scratch built buildings here and there and some foam hills using great stuff in the can. some snow covered trees painted green from the craft store from around Christmas. Sponge paint acrylic paints onto the hills and paint the side boards blue and sponge on some clouds for detail. Print off advertising signage off the web and add some hot wheels Ho pit crew figures to the pit area. Still looking for a match box/hot wheels tow truck and ambulance yet for scenery on the track. Easy Peasy!!!!
Glad you guys like it!
Small layout but packed with fun!!!!
Set the tri power packs to intermediate and let the t-jets fly.
The kids and I have 10 lap shoot outs buy calling out our laps as we go under the start/finish bridge.
My daughters think it is funny to nerf me off the track about a half a lap before the finish!
Guess who taught them that trick!?!?
I highly suggest you guys get your Ho tracks finished and up and running. AW is bringing out a lot of new Ho cars shortly which look great! Especially the vintage stocker xtraction cars! A must have!!!!

Hey Rusty!
Thank you again!
I very much appreciate the well wishes.
Been kind of nervous about all this since it is my first time through....
Yeah me and my girls will pass the time racing on it during rehab.
Good to hear you are building another Ho track also.
They are great fun along with running 1/32 also.
The great thing about Ho is it doesn't take up very much space.
When we get 3-4 cars running on my little 4 laner there is a lot of action and excitement going on.

Thank you for sharing the pics!
That looks like it would be a LOT of fun to run on - especially with t-jets! :D
Hope both the surgery and recovery go smoothly!

Hey Guys!
Thanks!
I posted my track mainly to inspire all of you to build some Ho tracks also!
They are fairly inexpensive and fun quick builds.
My kids love racing on mine.
A lot of fun in a 3' x 5 1/2' area.
So easy to set up and take down also.
I used goop and just glued all the scenery to the track table also.
With all the new Autoworld Ho cars coming out shortly why not build a small ho track to enjoy them!!!!!
:D :D :D

I Can't wait to see what you or others come up with!!!!
Hopefully by posting mine will build a fire under others to do so........
I can't wait to see the creativity here on this board!
It always amazes me!!!!!!

Wayne -
"Hopefully" you will be well on your way to being fully recovered before I jump into my track - as I have my P-BOP proxy cars and ASA Mustang builds to finish yet along with starting my vintage NASCAR proxy car and making some more headway on the really sweet vintage Indy car kits I got from Shotgun Dave. Mix that in with random projects like painting the resin HO body for my Super Stock t-jet and a couple of lexan bodies for local commercial track classes I run in, it will be a while - but I'll be sure to be posting progress pics on all of those, so at least you will have something to check out. :)
And your right - the talent and willingness to share build details, etc on these boards is truly impressive! I look forward to seeing "what's new" every day! :D

Nice looking mini-Road Course you built there :text-bravo:
Looks great with the T-Jets, and I bet it's a ton of fun racing w/Four lanes :auto-checkeredflag:
Oh, and here's wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery :handgestures-thumbup:

Beautiful -- you're gonna be feelin' a lot better once you start slidin' those T-Jets around that cool little park full of FUN!
I like the vintage Atlas and Aurora buildings, too. Love that stuff. Best of luck with the medical procedure.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! -- Ernie :>)
Edit -- Oops, my bad. On second look, maybe that's not an Aurora pit stop garage (no slanted roof) - still looks great, though! :>)
