Aluminum foil bodies?

I had heard of this from a friend years ago.
He use to take aluminum foil and mold it over hot wheels type bodies, paint the foil molded body and attach it to Ho slot car chassis.
When you race them they get beat and banged up like in a real race car for realism.
Anyone ever attempt to do this also?
Seems a bit far fetched but creative at the same time.
Just an out of the box idea to throw out there.
:D :D :D

Oh man Wayne, that brings back some fun memories! Back in the 80's in my early teen years we used to make those. It was especially fun when the bodies touched the rails and made sparks! They did crumple up nicely though!

Car Model did it in HO in one of their articles (circa 1964 or so). Their point was realistic damage from NASCAR style "rubbin'".
