I wonder how you would do this on the Carrera lap timer since it takes 4 AA batteries. But the batteries are 2 on each pedestal. I would love to stop buying batteries. I'll go get a picture and maybe someone will have an answer.

yes something like that... for Carrera, can you open your unit and see where the wire separate to the batteries, i think you will see then were is the positive and the negative and after you will able to proceed or may be there is a spot you can put an adapter, i am not sure... let me know if its work

I'm having trouble with the track sensor. Lane 1 works perfectly no matter what car I use. But Lane 2 misses laps. My old Tyco cars register fine, but my newer AFX cars do not. My guess is the magnets aren't strong enough to register, but they work fine on Lane 1. This is an otherwise excellent accessory. Anyone know what I could do to fix this?

I tried moving the clip around but it didn't help. Maybe the sensor needs to be closer to the track? I could try to fasten it more securely? Like I said, it picks up the cars with the stronger magnets.

the sensor clip has to be clipped under the track, may be there is something hidding the sensor, mine does work with old AFX magnatraction car, can you reverse the sensor clip if it does the same thing

I clipped it under the track properly, but it still won't register Lane 2. I have the new digital lap timer, which works fine. Maybe I can rig that one to work with the Control Station.

1- try reset on both side
2- this unit has to be programmed on both side for race ex lane 1 - 10 lap and lane 2 the same thing
3 - start, then it should count lap
4 - are you using batteries?
5 - can you get a look at all the wires?
