Controller Question

I recently bought Parma 25 ohm Economy Controllers and outfitted them with Carrera plugs for use on my home track. I run mostly stock Scalxtric and SCX 1/32 GT cars on a fairly large 4 lane Carrera plastic track. No magnets. Power is from Carrera plug-in wall transformers, one for each pair of lanes. The issue is that the new controllers don't seem to give me much control, especially lower in the power band. They seem to be either on or off, with little difference in between. Would I be better off with 45 ohm models? Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, 45 would give you the control you are looking for.

That's very nice of you ShotgunDave, but I'm pretty convinced I want the 45 ohm controllers. I'm going to take a shot at changing the resistors/rheostats myself just for fun. Thanks Though for the offer!!!

While I run on a small routed track, I find the 25 OHM controllers preferable for SCX cars.
I do like the 45 OHM controllers for other brands of 1/32 cars.
