I have to say it's nice to be in the company of slotters with more experience than me. I should build a track for my Dad and register him on the forum (just kidding on the registering part - I wish I could get a simple skype setup for him but that's not in the cards) - he's 93. I call him every couple of days to shoot the breeze. He's doing great and I hope to surpass his age in my time...

I have a variable mental age wich goes from 10 to 20.
then just when I'm having fun my knees or shoulder acts up and reminds me that I. tore myself up in a accident in the corp.

I think I'm 61 years old, not really sure. I raced 1/24th scale slot cars back in the 60's, mostly at a place called Richie's Hobbies in Springfield MA. The cars were all scratch built modifieds. It was one of the best times of my life and I have truly missed the fun I had. I stumbled across this site a few years ago, and have been an "envious" lurker since. NO MORE! I decided to take the plunge and start reliving my youth (that's a sign you're getting old). I purchased BRP32's (Wayne) Scalextric track AND a Tomy AFX Super International track. The plan is strictly oval racing. We'll see what happens next.

Hi sweet, I remember hearing about Richie's Hobbies, but I never got out there. I moved from Maine to Framingham in 1969 & mostly raced at Modelville Hobby.
