Sarge, black window screen material makes a good representation of square welded wire fabric, like used for a rabbit hutch, etc. Makes a good grill for race cars.

Sgt, also try the coffee maker filter screens. They are cheap at Wally World. Cut them out and the finer mesh really looks good on some models.


Keurig and others have different designs too.

I use the finer mesh for vent screens on LeMans cars. As a bonus, the gold color they come in looks good on some cars. When I make them silver or gray, I use Sharpies in that color and it does fine after it has plenty of time to dry.
