Carrera 71590 lap timer only counts one lane

Our club races on 7 different Carrera tracks. And now two of the tracks Carrera lap timers stopped counting one lane. They start out working and about 4 laps into it they quite counting one lane. ? Any ideas for a fix?
Tried new batteries ,same results. :?:

prolly not your case but in mine i had to add sun shades to both sides. it was to bright. now works great again...... just a thought

If you don't want to have batteries problems it'sprety easy to convert to " electric".
I have done in mine and works fine!

Thanks guys, the lights are clean as far as I can tell. Don't have to much light,I don't think .Tried moving them to other parts of the track ,still have the same problem. I may convert mine to electric at a later time .
Still baffled ? :(

Our counter is a little particular about what kind of cars it counts.
Most times the vintage scaleys won't trigger it. I think because they are too low and don't break the diagonal beam.

Arroldn, here you got a link that splains how to convert to electric the carrera lap counter.
It´s in spanish but I think you only have to look at the pictures.
I soldered it instead of just put plasticine.

It´s important to remenber it works at 6volts. not 12!!!

Anyway if you got any problem send me a PM and I try to make pictures of mine.

Thanks for posting that vonsirius! Now to find a 6 volt transformer!
