Crazy weather in Colorado!

Postby dreinecke » Fri Feb 13, 2015 11:49 pm

Snow one day, 70 degrees the next. The strangest February I can recall!

Last week, a blizzard hit the Palmer Divide -

Today it was 60 and everything melted -

I spent a few hours tonight and got the base painted. And it is much easier on the eyes now!

We are having wired weather here in Nor Cal too. It was dumping rain last weekend and we're in the high 70's this week. Your track is looking good Sir.

Thanks - figured the weather comment would resonate with the crazy weather this year.

I'm planning on painting the legs and fascia black this week. That should make it really look like a piece of furniture I hope.

Painting the base at least pulls it all together and lets me start working on single areas. I've got some guard rail or fencing I'll need to install in a few places (mostly scenic) and I still have to put the last bit of fascia on the far side of the track and get the board in to finish off the pit/paddock base. That is currently the last of the canyon of doom places. I'll start placing trees temporarily too to get a feel of where everything should go. I'm moving things around a little from the last version since this has morphed a little bit from that one.

More to come!

I do like your "50 States" licence plate on the wall.

I'm glad the heated roads meant none of that snow settled on the track.
