My computer hates me and the internet

Just a little rant about my POS laptop. It's old, bought just when Vista came out :lol: It's been through a couple crashes, ransom viruses, other viruses etc. I always recovered them by using tips and instructions from Malware Bytes, rkill and others. The C drive has plenty of space, the D drive is just about full of either hidden worms, updates or other stuff.

I'd really like to post more pictures, but when I go to Photobucket, the computer practically goes into dead short. I've got high speed fiber optic internet, the main board just really needs to start riding the short bus, ya know. I'm not going to spend anything to fix it, if any money is spent, it'll be to get something new, perhaps an Apple. I often think it may work to go back to a factory reset, or get a set of boot disk from HP/Compaq. Either way, whats to lose? I'd just like to still be able to use it for lap timing etc.

And you need Linux. Free, open software that doesn't have MS built-in screwups and wasted space. Plus, practically no vulnerabilities to bad guys out there. Sooner or later we'll all have to make the change away from MS. Who wants to overpay for something and then not own it at all?
