Wow Rleog great job coming up with that thread. I'm a member on that site and had never seen it. I knew Bob and raced with him in Cal Club. He and his mechanic helped set up my 914 for G prod. It was very sad when he passed away, left a void for a lot of us but it was great to see the car win at the runoffs. There used to be a site maintained by his family at giantkirbyracing.com but it has disappeared and now there just isn't that much out there about him or his car.

Harry, Shotgun dave, When I saw that 54 I immediately thought of you guys. That font in the numbers is what I am looking for to go on the '57 I want to build. I'll find it or have it made one day.

OK last picture. rleog got me to look on the wayback machine and come up with this picture of the Kirby 914 following the runoffs. Who is going to be the first of you guys to build it? Should make a great runner; low and wide

If anyone has the know how to fabricate a Ginther windscreen (as on this car), I'll give it a try.
