Is there enough room to fit a Carrera digital board do you think?

Hi Jules,

I have one of the BRM McLaren F1s and it has a location for the Carrera board further back, but has 2 holes for the LED. One is under the board in the usual location, but as the board is further back than on a Carrera car it has a higher chance of missing detection. The other hole is in the usual place next to the guide and you can if you wish run the led on a pair of wires to that point instead.
I thought that was a clever idea.

In an Apollo 13 style, we have the following to hand:

A blunt junior hacksaw blade
Two 1/8 inch plastic rods
Some pre-used Duck tape
4 paperclips
2 inches of reasonable quality fishing line
A hot glue gun
Selection of electrical insulation tape.
Pre-owned Carrera F1 model with a Carrera 26740 chip on board.

Let’s see what Dr Frankenslot can come up with.

If the monster lives, we have time to get the CAD changed and cut the tooling to keep most folks happy.
