Is this a trick question Jules? The only company that has not been bought out or merged is FIAT. Mercedes and Benz became Mercedes-Benz in 1926 under the Daimler umbrella company. Case became Case-IH and then ceased to exist in the 1990s although the "name" is still used. So its just FIAT unless Im not understanding something?

I'll say even though Id argue against it on technical grounds:

The question for Lot 5 was not meant to be tricky or obscure but I guess I could have worded it better. Perhaps I should have said 'Marque or Brand' instead of 'maker'. What I was looking for was three 'brands' of vehicle manufacturer that were represented at the 1st Indy 500 and have managed to exist (as a recognisable car brand/marque) to this day.

The three I had were:-
FIAT
BUICK
MERCEDES / MERCEDES-BENZ / MERC

I'll call TsgtRet the winner on Lot 5 - but I acknowledge (Dr Fabio) that there could be a technical argument regarding 'Benz'.

This was pure fluke....I was doing some reading on the cars from the movie "The Great Race" which led to real races of that type which had the first running of the Indy in with it. When I saw the question I knew right where to look! I never win ANYTHING! :o

To all intents and purposes Jules is a small one man show who subcontracts out all his work. He's not a Scaly or Carrera or even a slotit with a large back office set up. That said Im going to stick my neck out and make a prediction. Im going June/July. Note I haven't specified a year, just that the release will be June/July. :D
