That is one nice track you got there. It took me 8 months and four sheets of particle board for my layout. Now thanks to you, I'm thinking about a hill climb track.

I jumped the gun with the video, I should have posted some of the screening being done. so here are a couple of shots I forgot to get up. It went quite fast actually, its just cut and staple to the framework and track edges. Next up will be the plaster cloth, I am waiting on a case of that stuff to get here from north Georgia, so it should be here first of the week. I may go to Lowes today and get the plywood for the sides and top so I can gain some ground.ImageImage

Well done Bob.
You make it look so easy , and the video is great.
Definitely going to build something to add a track to whatever mini series we can conjur up.
Oh we are certainly going to have some fun.

Little more done today, made the lowes trip and picked up some cheap 1/4" plywood for the sides and back. got them painted and installed, even added some clouds (one is supposed to look like a dragon) but I might have to paint over that part! ImageImage

Looks great to me. A home track should have character and this one has it.

You need a slotburger.

I like the dragon cloud Bob, it gives tons of character.
Your not wasting any time on this build, and it looks like your going to be up and running the dragon
very soon.
Nice job.

Well, if you all don't think the Dragon looks stupid, Ill leave it there! Beats painting over it.
Did some serious lapping on this track today!, Got as far as I could with the materials at hand, so I started seeing what would make the grade and what would not. Talk about diverse, I cant imagine being able to tune a car just for this hillclimb. I ran everything from the Lotus 7 to group C cars, and everything in between. I found no perfect answer for tires, or weight, or even motors?
some did great others were so-so, cars that scream on the road course, sucked at the hill climb, and others did amazingly well that normally are not much to brag about. I can see many hours playing with various set ups for this. how cool is that!
I want to thank all of you for your supportive and positive comments on this track build, your opinions mean a lot to me, and I think it helps fuel the fire while building.

Keep the dragon, Bob.

You can never have too many dragons

If you can't get red, white will do.
