Well, for all practical purposes, The Dragon is Done! all that's left now is the grass and what small details that will be added over time.
My timing system is on the way, and will be almost plug and play. I will be adding some corner worker figures, and a few spectators where feasible. As it stands, the track is running on twelve volts, and I may reduce that in the future to 10 or so, I will just have to see how it goes. so far, the cars like the twelve volts, and it's not difficult to drive any of the various motored cars. The track has brakes, and I am using a PM adjustable controller. Total cost to this point has been just under $200, that includes the new plywood for the sides, and the case of plaster cloth. I did not count the craft paints, and other small materials used, as most of us have all that kind of stuff laying around. So all in all, I am very pleased with this track. It is a blast to drive, and almost all my cars are appropriate to run on it.
One more thing worth mentioning, this whole track is very light, and can be moved easily. if I were to put casters on the legs, it could be rolled around, and in my case, it could even be rolled outside for an event if needed.
I had never even considered a hill climb track till I saw the pictures of Luf's Burnaby Grind in Retro's post. Now I cant see being without one! As I have said many times during the build of this track, if you are even considering building one, I highly recommend it for the fun factor of building the track, as well as running cars on it. It is big time fun all the way, and you would not regret it im sure.
