TGI T? Happy 4th Weekend

Been a fun week around these parts. Bad storms have flooded a lot around us but thankfully nothing bad at HQ. Pretty severe storms last night and we had a Tornado warning, but all is clear and no damage.

Which is good because The General has her birthday Sunday and I am supposed to have this place looking just so :) Will have the grandkids and family here Saturday for BBQ and fireworks.

Have a couple projects in the works and hopefully will get some time to work on them.

On my way out of town camping with the wife and kids. Will be the kids first time. Ill be off grid this weekend. Hope to get cell service to check in here and there but if i dont that will be ok too :). See ya all monday!

It has been hot here in NW California. It got up to 100 on the front porch yesterday. The Mrs. is in Chicago for a week visiting our youngest daughter. That leaves me home alone without a babysitter. I am going over to the coast to work on a project at my G scale model train club. A great side affect is that by going seaside, I will beat the heat by about 35 degrees. I started collecting a bunch of Scalextric Digital stuff over the last couple of weeks. I horse traded for most of it,was outright given some free stuff (thanks Joe) and bought some. Don't know why because I am perfectly happy with my wood analogue tracks, but I have always wanted to play with digital too. It'll never replace my classic wood track hobby. It will just be a side attraction.

Heading home to see the parents. They're both 80, they're both in good health today, but you never know -- won't miss an opportunity to go see them. Besides, I need to take a bottle of tequila to my dad. :lol:

Rain, rain, and more rain. That's the theme around here. It's been raining so much you have to sneak in mowing the lawn. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, probably eat and chill. Still selling my cars. It's a slow process. I would just like to say thanks to those that purchased cars from me. It helped me out more than you would know. :text-thankyouyellow:

Happy Independence Day! Washing three Jeeps and cutting the grass on Friday. A BBQ with the neighbors and fireworks on Saturday. A little slot car action thrown in for good measure.

Should be a busy weekend around these parts. Plan on some track time with the 6 grand-kids with some exercising going on with the track marshaling. The grand-kids don't want to leave their position to place a car back on the track or they might have to give up their seat. Then I've got to do some yard work to slip in between playing with the grand-kids, some slot car building, and just lazing around with the son-in-laws enjoying a cold brew. Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th.
