Artin F1 revisited.

Picked up a couple brand new Artin 1/32 F1 cars the other day. I have always been a fan of the Artin running gear, as it has a nice scale speed, and a very durable chassis design. Since I have been collecting up Formula cars as of late, I thought adding these would be a fun touch. They are great runners, but they send them with the most out of scale, narrow wire wheels that they could find on them. Not likeing that, I dug into the parts box for some of my "Fatboy" chassis axles and wheels. After a little teardown and re assembly, I have a few very fun, not bad looking F1 cars that I can let anyone run that comes over. A little paint and detail on the drivers, and they will look as good as my others.

Are those still available? I've been looking for reasonably priced F1 or Indy style cars

Mostly the bay.

Carrera cars at 32 bucks a shot are pretty good value in my book. The newest ones coming should make a great series.

I used to enjoy the SCX F-1s, too. I haven't seen any in a long time.

I had a hopped up Artin F1 that held the lap record on my old Lost Coast Raceway wood track for a long time. That car stuck to the track like it had magnets.
