Yes. I used two different types of silicone. The hard one for the outer and the softer one for the inner. The hard silicone came with the starter kit I bought. And I didn't have enough to finish so I bought the soft stuff second time around. I think I like this but will report back after I cast the resin. It costs $40 to do a two part mold with this product.

I think it would make a great resin car for a custom or a Carrera Panamerica type car

I would be willing to lend it to you for casting in return for a couple of bodies

That really is a perfect car for the Pan Am, and some other good stuff, too. How about a Beach Racer? How about a Beach Racer Convertible?

Go online to Hobby Lobby and get the 40% off coupon, good for one item. I copy 2 coupons a week. The Alumilite costs $30 at HL, but with the discount you buy it for $17. I've found this a lot cheaper than any of the mail order distributors.

That F100 looks sharp!

If you're considering other cars to cast, I have two favorites...............

The first is the Porsche 550 coupe (it ran the La Carrera Panamericana, in fact it won it!):

The second is an OSCA (what was left of the Maserati brothers after they sold their original company to Orsini). This MT-4 ran Sebring and won:

Takes you in a different direction, but I think they're both great looking cars!
