I still have a few 1/43 stuff around. I might join in. I have a carrera pickup stock chassis and body but chassis has been drilled and shaved for float and body had been lowered. What class would that fit in?

I think(not sure) that the Carrera cars run 18 volts stock,ya might wanna check with CJ???? Plus check on the stock voltage on the stock SCX cars 12volts????? I can run at 22 volts if needed in PROSTOCK with the motors I run,but thats just me!

I would say at 12 or less.I'm running 12 on my little drag set up and that is more than enough power.
We can run at what ever the group wants.

yeah that`s where I`m at on it, just as long as it doesn`t put anyone at a real big disadvantage,I`m thinking maybe 15 if anyone is running STOCK CARRERA and STOCK SCX?????

I know that I have been testing my stock Artin entries on 12V - but they would live happily on lower voltage.
The planned voltage will definitely make a big difference in setting these cars up!
If the voltage is 6v, I may not have to add wheelie bars - but at 12v I have no choice but to add them as even with two pieces of 1" square .062" lead stuck on the hood (I was trying to see how much it was going to take), I can't keep the front end from jumping up and out of the slot (without slowly rolling into the throttle) - necessitating adding wheelie bars.

Carrera GO!!! is 14.7 volt, SCX Compact was 12 volt. I have run both for years at 16 volt. For drag racing with good soft tires 15 volt will work fine.

Hmmm - maybe a split in the classes for Artin vs SCX/Carrera?
(I'm not sure the 6v motors in the Artin cars would live at 15v for very many passes)

Guys how about to keep it simple,12v for all classes.We have run the other drags with this and the cars did fine..I've ran a hopped up SCX car and she had plenty of power.Ran several stock Artins with their light mags and they did fine.
After saying that,if you guys want to run the stock at say 8-10 we can do that also..
Just chime in and let me know.
