yeah I knew about the STARTER BOBBY ALLISON resin car,but having dealt with resin before it`s been my experience, if they`re resin,they`er heavy! I`ve got a sweet looking HIGHWAY 61 DODGE DART,But it`s just to darn heavy to be competitive,I`d love to see AMT or MPC get back into 1/43rds,they use to make some great bodies! :lol: guess I can keep on dreaming! :lol:

what about vac-forming the starter kit? or making a silicone mold of the starter kit and make a vac-forming plug?
not too much undercuts on that body and maybe making the rear spoiler extra? but it´s worth a try ...

yeah Walker that wouldn`t be bad,but the ones I`ve had are heavier,there`s a guy out in CALIFORNIA that goes by "HAIRY CANARY" that does some fantastic work,bodies are light and thickness is nice and uniform,he did some 41 plymouth coupes for me that were great! Puddle Dude,I`ve never been a big fan of vac-u-form they seem to lose to much detail,I know its a cheaper and simplier way of doing it but just never could get in to it!

"The 1985 Buick Grand National was very similar to the 1984 Grand National. The lack of major changes showed how well the previous model was designed. The biggest update to the exterior was a new front grill. Everything else remained the same; the only color available was black with almost all the chrome blacked out as well. Other design elements that separated the Grand National from the garden variety Buick Regal was the spoiler on the trunk and the aluminum wheels with black inserts were added to the package. In case anyone was confused, “Grand National” fender badges were added to the front fenders to complete the exterior package.

The interior continued to be significantly sportier than the standard Regal. The upgrades for 1985 included a sports steering wheel, upgraded instrument package with a tachometer and a boost gauge. Lear seats continued to comfort the front packages and they were covered with two toned cloth material."

After Christmas last year, I bought a 70 GSX Hallmark ornament that is close to 1:43 scale. The bad news is its die cast instead of the usual plastic but it would be a good candidate for resin casting.

If somebody wants to cast it, I can make it available.
