I am not sure if it is due to how we were loading the motor(s) with the high amps, high traction, instant on throttle effect, the amount of time (55 feet) at wide open 12v combined with the heavy braking zone loading or?
But that one definitely burnt the brushes and melted the comm - coasting to a stop half way through what started off as a strong run.
After that though, we made it a point to avoid repeated "back to back" runs figuring additional cooling time definitely couldn't hurt. :D
