What Carrera car would be the fastest in almost stock form?

I have a VW Kafer that is a good car. With urethane tires the only change, it can keep up to all most cars except the NSRs. A club mate has the Cheetah that he can use to compete with Slot.its and NSRs and all he did was his usual new car tuning and put urethane tires on it.

^^ A couple of us would like to try out your track sometime, FYI our track has a dedicated new building, its just up the road from you near Merritt Speedway on M-55. We also are looking like you for a few new guys to check out our 4 lane high bank tri-oval digital Carrera track, currently around 5-6 guys running on a limited basis. We have open mod classes (NSR, Slot it's) along with slightly tweeked stock Carrera older stock cars, some of the newer stuff run straight out of the box. Carrera Cobras & Cheetahs are fast out of the box we have found. We have found out also that being a pleasant friendly place draws good racers. A few of our guys run at Merritt Speedway in their 1:1 cars too. Hope we can get together sometime & do some racing.

I would be glad to have you over as soon as I get things up and fully running. The more the merrier! I'm not sure how impressed you will be after running a huge digital setup, as I have had to move the track into a 14' room with a china cabinet and a piano. Leaving room to get around the end of the track, it is looking to end up about 12' by 8' in an "L" shape. It is Artin and four lanes. Artin does have the deep slot, so you can run Carrera guides with no depth issues, but I do have an R1, so an overly long wood track guide may hang. In my old house, i was at about 65' on a 20' table. I have tried about three different layouts, and I have ended up with a bent figure eight that shows quite a bit of promise. It's pretty short, but it has some fast turns and a couple of braking zones. It will take a little while to get the wiring done, driver's hookups finished and the timing working on all four lanes. (I need to tack together a light bridge. If you don't have analog cars, don't worry. I have more cars than I can drive at once, so there are always some interesting rides available.

I would like to check out the oval someday. I am somewhat homebound because I take care of a family member full time. I have to schedule two to four weeks in advance to get caretakers in place. If I know the race schedule in advance, I can work out the details with the homecare agency and get medical people lined up. I don't have any digital cars, but I may end up buying a Carrera car that I cant get in analog.

Hopefully, we can try out each other's tracks sometime this Summer or Fall. I plan to host some informal weekly racing this Fall and Winter.

^^ Ok sounds good, if you're looking to buy a fast 'out of the box' digital 1:32 Carrera car, its hard to beat a cobra or a cheetah, add PG tires & your good to go. We have ran on non digital tracks in the Cadillac area & have ran at Cloverleaf's & Lightning speedway commercial tracks, even running at Melborne Fla. big hill climb track, all we do is move the switch on the bottom of the car to run analog & were good to go. We have some fast loaner cars to borrow or we can chip your car/cars if you want while you wait.
