Happy Holiday to all the hosers out there! :flags-canada:

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

When all else fails play dead!

I'm a man but i can change... if i have to....... I guess

Happy Canada Day to our great neighbors to the North!

Alternately sad as John has pointed out. The British lost 20,000 in the first day as well.

Yes, it was one of the bloodiest battles in human history- one million dead in a single 6 month battle. The Battle of the Somme. We learned about it in detail in military school.

Meanwhile, as I said on the other post about Canada Day, the years I lived in Canada as a boy were wonderful. One day I was crabbin' and flounder giggin' in the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana, the next day we lived in London, Ontario, which at the time was a lovely, pretty city full of very nice people who treated this bayou boy so well, you would have thought I was lost family. Incredibly, I recently reconnected with one of those kids from London on Linked In. Turns out she's a famous author and scientist. How 'bout that!
