I ordered my stuff through Slot car Canada last night, and just the list price in Canadian funds was almost a wash. I would have paid more paying SCC in USD, so Christian's regular price is very favorable to Canadian consumers.

So A big thumbs up to SCC on both sides of the border.

And since the CB Design wheels and the Paul Gage tires are proudly made in Canada, I decided to bite the bullet and use the same pricing as my colleagues south of the border, even though our dollar is currently worth only 75 US cents. That means all Canadian entrants will get an even sweeter deal. Sometimes, it pays to live in the snow from November to April! :lol:

Of course, that also means that the deal is only available to Canadian customers. I will not ship this package deal outside of Canada.

Harry mentioned that there are no assigned numbers for the entries. I chose number 22 , and got the car all painted up in BARC colors (Red/White) last night.

I also broke out the torch and modifed the chassis I had built years ago. I added some Brass sleeves to accept bearings and adjusted the wheelbase for the 56 Chev. My chassis is crude compared to others I have witnessed on here, but hey its brass which is required for this event. Now I just need the motor and wheels, and testing can begin to see if this chassis will work. Should have time to build another on if this fails, although I am not sure what success or failure looks like. If it is smooth and not dogtracking, then it is a success in my books.<grin>

I also have an interior on the agenda as well. I'll post some pictures when I get it all done.

Your last picture shows the motor fore-and-aft, maybe offset to the passenger side. Is it not inline? Would be a cryin' shame to not enter that car.

yes sadly that is a chassis borrowed from a previous car build. I want a full interior tray in the mustang, because I`m much more interested in making the car look as nice as possible. So I will concentrate on finishing the Torino because it is utilizing a chassis that is inline and did not have a home already. I`ll finish the stang as I wanted in time. :dance:
