Hybrid Brass Am Cuda

Finally finished my RMS Cuda. 7 mo., 3 paint jobs later and a lot of coaching from SGD. I have to say that this all lacquer paint system is fool proof ( I managed to do it)





I finished the chassis in April in time for our club enduro and entered the car with a painted uncleared undecaled body. After the enduro I cleared the body and watched in dismay as the paint started melting instantly. I removed the paint (Pinesol smell appears to be permanant :lol: ), repainted, decaled, futured, and sprayed clear again. Just to watch it do the same thing again. After a lot more coaching from SGD on the all lacquer paint system and a few hrs. of rubbing my sloppy painting, I finally achieved an acceptable paint job.

Three times? It looks fantastic! The chassis looks very nice as well! Great work on a resin that is worth less than the paint ;)

Thanks Dave, your help was greatly appreciated. I couldn't have done it without you, or if I had there probably would have been another 1/2 doz. cans of paint involved. :lol:
