No such thing as a stupid question. Stupid is not asking.

Yes, that power supply will easily handle even a 4 lane 1/32nd track. It looks like its adjustable up to 30 amps, and you'll never need that much. I have a very similar, older version, and it will max out at 50 volts, 30 amps. It has never been set above 13 volts, 10 amps, and does fine.

I have taken measurments with cars running on the track and found that cars with Slot.it orange endbell or Piranha type motors will use a maximum of 2 amps. In that case 5 amps would be enough for a two lane track, but it would be skimpy for a four lane track. With a four lane track the voltage would probably drop below the set point when the cars were starting from a dead stop. Be sure to leave the amp control turned all the way up.

it will run 3 or 4 lanes of 1/32 cars - I found the Carrera 1/24 cars were drawing up to 2amps on take off so if you were planning on running big cars a 10amp supply would be better..... don't think you can have too many amps :)

Correction: Mine is a 3050, and I didn't see the little black letters on top say "305D". I can't imagine why they would do the naming that way, but 5 amps it is, not like mine at all, and I would like to see more amperage if the track had more than 2 lanes.
