40 Coupe project under way. "finished"

Picked up a junkyard lot on the bay. Got the decals on the way, and a chassis built. should be a good one, as this has been a favorite car of mine. Stay tuned!

Making progress on the Cherokee coupe. Chassis is built, setting the stance on the body mounts now. I am taking some liberty's with this one. The body is a 40 instead of a 39 standard, and it will have a bit more aggressive stance. After doing some research for the Cherokee Garage, and Gober sosobee, I found he had a LOT of race cars come out of that shop! He was Georgia's Version of a Smokey Yunick! he tried all kinds of crazy rule bending stuff. So this car will be a compilation of ideas collected from my research, and will represent the Cherokee Garage feel if nothing else.

Not sure about the yellow wheels? Need to fix the smear on the left rear anyway. I might change that in the future. But for now she is ready for some laps!

I liked the chrome, which I have on several cars, until I saw the yellow. The Yellow suits that car and livery perfectly.

I haven't been posting much at all - but I am really really liking all of the *BIG* scale builds!

This message board offers a very unique forum - and building oval track 1/24 racers is the best stuff.

As far as the yellow wheels, you can always dirty them up with a diluted black wash the way the HRW Janitor does! It has a way of adding realism and making the details come out as well.
