I have unpacked the cars....all thirty or so and set them on my infield area.
I hastily vacuumed up some styrene foam particles, dust and a few dead African flies that fell out of the wrapping...!!

Dont tell the Bio-security boys, please.

Lez had an issue with his guide where the blade had snapped off, that is repaired with a replacement he had previously sent me.

I will run the cars and record some times and thoughts over the coming days.

Shake down run has been completed.
Points to note:
1) Fastest car on the Anaconda was Redlyners NSR GT40 MkIV at a mid 5.1 sec lap.(2017)
2) My standard but tuned slotit GT40 with ultragrips on the rear has done a best of 5.31 sec.
3) NSR ultragrip tires give the best grip
4) Glued and trued ultragrip NSR tires give better grip
5) Some entrants have unglued rear tires...is this deliberate?
6) There are two off camber corners on the Anaconda so a shallow guide, lots of grip and little flex equals a deslot when the hammer is down.
7) Track voltage is set at 10 volts.
8) Controller is a Carsteen CS-02
9) Lap length is 14.25 metres

Five to ten laps for each car. Most cars have a little more to give.

Thanks Munter. Alot of work getting thru that many cars. Plenty of 5.3 sec cars which will mean some close running at the pointy end. But as always, races are a whole new ball game compared to qualifying and anything can happen. Good Luck everybody!
