You know mpst people will go with the fastest mand most grunt of a motor, but in reality you can overmotor a car.
I am just going to find the right motor at or below spec which gives the best performance and handling for the car i put it in.
But thats me and i havent won any of the recent proxies so ignore me if you want to win i guess lol

The red Scalex ff motor is a nice one but the torque figures rule it out.
Bob's picture shows the Policar motor screwed in place so I will work on fitting that into one of my rear brackets.

Viv's car is a 1957 Kurtiss Kraft Cabello # 524, please.

Hi John, Viv's car sounds like a very interesting one. The Kurtis Kraft 500X ran; generally, either a Chrysler Hemi V8 with a lot of Lincoln add-on parts or a Corvette V8. The "El Caballo" moniker came from one of the early 500X hot rods. I believe that the #524 car was the only US Sports Car ever to run in the Italian Mille Miglia. Nice choice!



This should be a fun build to watch. See if you can get Viv interested in joining the HRW Board, so that he can post some pics of the car as he builds it out.

I will participate, but I do not know what my entry will be, at this time. I need to read the rules again to see how far I want to go with proxy. Like many of you, this is my favorite period of sports car racing. I can't wait to see the cars entered. It seems like it will be a very eclectic and exotic field of racers.
