RAC Reproductions in Argentina??

Postby viejoronnie » Sun May 27, 2018 1:18 pm

This company makes 1/32 reproductions of modern and vintage South American Tourismo de Carretera road racers.

Anybody run these?

Those are some interesting offerings (thank you for the heads up). Do you think their listed prices are actually American dollars, or just Argentinian pesos?

I emailed RAC about the prices and sales/post to US. If the prices are actually pesos, then the cars are around $70 or so.

Thanks for clarifying that - that makes sense. Let us know if they clarify that their listed prices are in pesos. I hope they continue producing unique product!

Where else can you find a factory-made slot car reproduction of Fangio's first championship car??

That 1940 Chevy coupe turns me on. $70 is a lot, though, and my onsite experience of postal affairs in South America is that you must pay top dollar if you want to see the package. A number of my letters home arrived after I had been home over a month. At one time, DHL was available, strictly air freight.
