You might make something from resin, if you don't do any resin, find some plastic you can cut a mount from. Fit the contour as stated above. put some holes where the mount fits against the body and scuff the inside of the body. Then epoxy it to the body. The holes give something for the epoxy to hold to.
I fit the mounts to the body and the frame, screw them to the chassis, put oversize wheels on and then glue the mounts.
Remove the screws and the chassis, put smaller wheels back on and maybe add some glue to the mounts while the chassis is off.
For some of the real wreckless guys, I drill a small hole and epoxy pins thru the side of the body and into the mount. I leave the pins exposed, but painted along with the body. Some of our guys try to tear down the track walls!
