Started on another roadster yesterday. This one is a 1929 Ford body on 32 frame rails. this was a very popular swap back in the day, as it was an easy conversion, and added V8 power to a lighter weight body of the 28-29 roadsters. Last year I had bought a model car lot off Ebay, and it had several half built, or junked out bodies from the 20's and 30's. This body was from that lot. I started with a simple brass square tube chassis, and fashioned some 32 style outer rails from this brass sheet. I soldered them to the front and rear axle holders, then braced them from the main frame for strength. I am adding front leaf springs and shocks (not in this pic yet), and other details like steering arms, radius rods etc. The guide will be slotting plus, wheels are H&R, 9/31 gears and urethane tires. Not sure on the color choice as of yet, still looking for inspiration on this one. Body will come off separate from the driver and roll bar area, so I can get some serious detail in that area. This is what I have so far.
