I prefer the older race cars of the 50s and 60s myself - though I do have a thing for JGTC cars. However the thing with the modern GT cars is the look of them the combination of body style and livery. They have a real presence about them - they look fast and the liveries are pretty cool, just about everyone of them looks great. Unlike 60s and 70s racers that were largely a single colour the bright livery patterns really catch the eye. We rarely race them yet I also seem to own a dozen or so of them - Gulf Aston, BMW M6 and Z4, Mercedes, Bentley, Porsche. I haven't bought the McLaren (yet) but most likely will get the anime one.

I am and have always been a fan of the top GT cars.....supercars, or the near prototypes. The GT2 and GT3 are much closer to reality, but when you can run an F1GTR and drive it on the street, that takes me back to the roots of racing....which is my preference.

yep - sickness! Nice dream though to imagine owning a street version akin to the real thing. Even if I hit the megamillions not sure wifey will cave for $.8 to 1.2 MM. ;)

I guess everybody here has been 100mph before. Any in the150 club? higher?

It's only a sickness if YOU think it's a sickness. LOL

Most of my cars are modern GT cars with classic (1960s) sports and GT cars a very close second. For the most part they look and run great.

I am a big time Modern GT fan, so it goes without saying that I have a lot of the Scaley and Carrera GT3 class cars, some LMP class too.
I love the looks and the liveries of cars that I saw on the 1;1 track can be on my layout. Stock, no mag, urethane or stock rubber, they are a blast! Do those meddlesome rear wings break, yeah..... but that's why they invented glue. :D
