CA (cyanacrylat) glue applicator / oil applicator:

use a piece of round wood and stick one needle to one side. cut the head off the second needle and use pliers to put the needle with the cutted side into the wood.

now you have a great tool too apply really small amounts of oil / glue to the desired place. slightly bigger amounts with the needle head, smaller ones with the pointy end.

this is what i´ve done to get the SCX front wheels to touch the track:
bend the copper strips upwards so they touch the chassis plate and cut away the ring, this has done the trick on all my SCX (even when running no magnet).
to remove the ring around the guide i used a sharp exacto blade.

Here's the dimensioned print for the above jig. It helps keep the chassis lined up while extending / shortening.

Not sure when it happened, but I just noticed that Academy has added a few new kits
