if i would be asked for magnets - to be honest, i would favourise the Go!magnet. you can get it as a tuning magnet seperately and stays in the same size for years. size and power are okay, too!

The motors came today but unfortunately I won't be able to use them without a bunch of changes to my plans. The shaft on the motor is too short and theres no point in me trying to take that gear off. I'm sorry you went through all the extra work for nothing Peter. :(

The gears aren't too hard to get off if you have a small punch, or can get one.

You need a vise, a punch and a small ball pein hammer. If you don't want to do that, send 'em to me, and I'll remove the pinions for you, and send 'em back.

They're all good ideas Marc but I'm not going to change what I've gotten very comfortable with in doing my builds using the DSlot43 parts. I'm past the point of being creative where I need to do wheel inserts or cutting down axles to length. Its so easy for me to just send a few measurements to Peter and have my chassis printed. Then I just do what I need to do to get the chassis mounted. That keeps improving all the time too. I wish I still had the motivation, abilities and tools to do the things you guys do, but since I no longer do, I'm happy I can just pop the rear axle with the bearings into the chassis and be done with that segment of the build.

Bill, I have some MRRC long shaft slimline motors that fit perfectly. I just went to MRRC's site and they have a line of SRP motors ranging from 13,500 to 35,000 RPM @ 12V. Couldn't find a price on them though. They also have there own motors that came with pinion and leads.
